WhO ARE YOU?

The core company of HISSYFIT is Rebecca Dunn and Claire Macallister, but we’re fortunate enough to work with a number of creatives, organisations and independent artists who all contribute to the work and development of the company.

ABOUT Becca

Becca is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Glasgow. She studied English and Theatre Studies at the University of Warwick, where she began her own writing practice. She trained for a year in ensemble, physical theatre and clown with Fourth Monkey Theatre Company in London before completing her training at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. While at RCS, she wrote The Edge of You for On The Verge Festival at the Citizens Theatre, for which she received the Bruce Millar Drama Award, allowing her to develop and take the show to the Edinburgh Fringe. The Edge of You was selected to be part of ‘Untold Stories’ festival at the Pleasance in London.

She is Artistic Director of Theatre Studio in Glasgow, a part-time lecturer at the RCS and also Lead Facilitator of Gaun Yersel’ workshops for professional actors. She is currently on placement with Company of Wolves as part of the Theatre-Maker scheme.
